A message from our CEO - 2009

In 2007 we launched our new corporate identity and rebranding. We presented the “Candidate Experience”, which shows that OTYS wants to see her candidates as customers. This way we want to help our clients with treating their candidates like customers as well. A very logic message, especially with the lack of employees on the labor market. A scarcity which still exists now in 2009 when you are looking for good, high educated, experienced personnel.

The branch that we find ourselves in is moving and developing a lot, on a variety of levels. Time is changing: getting old at one and the same company is old fashioned, just like the Saturday’s Paper as the most important medium for placing vacancies, or the letter of application as the most ordinary way for showing interest. The change is moving faster due to the recent economic developments. All of this has consequences for people who work in the recruitment branch. Mostly the image of different service providers will be influenced in a negative way. Recruitment agencies are seen more and more often as a luxury which becomes unnecessary in times of crisis. They can be missed. The media do not really help when they picture Recruitment agencies as only “CV-providers”. Not a pleasant message, and for the greater part incorrect.

A good recruiter always has a surplus value for candidates and clients. Now in 2009 that means that recruiters, in every part of the labor market, have to be active. Entrepreneurial, visible and creative. Making smart use of the internet, improving your corporate brand utilization, and using your network more intelligent. According to OTYS being successful is a combination of technology and vision.

Because, the most important factors for success in our perspective are: simplicity, drive, knowledge, enthusiasm and persistence. Our employees own more than enough of these characteristics.
